A group of Aminah’s poems, entitled The Nature of Things, have been published by Pipeline Artists in LA.
Aminah says:
“I am so happy to share this with you, friends.
I wrote this piece while on a retreat in the Western Australian bush. When the sun was shining, I sat outside on on a hill, looking out over a valley. When it rained, we sat inside a Buddhist temple and watched the trees bend in the wind. We were asked to write about rain and the first of these poems was born. I stayed up in my room writing into the night, inspired to personify the other elements as well.
I was sitting on the earth, grounded, looking inward but focused on the elements. Antissima didn’t know any of this when she created the artwork that compliments this collection of poems. She just got it.”
