Soulful international songstresses, Sophie Moleta and Aminah Hughes will perform a special evening of song on Saturday 28th November in this last concert of the series. Address in the Fremantle area of Western Australia will be provided upon booking.

A bit about Sophie :
Sophie Moleta grew up with classical music and house concerts and released her first EP cassette in 1992 in Wellington New Zealand. Since then she has released many solo albums and collaborated with various artists all over the world. Her first solo album Trust released in 1998 took her to France where she was signed by a French record label and BMG and recorded her second album Dive at Peter Gabriel’s Real World in 1999. Dive was released in Paris 2000, featured as a sound track for French film Les Jolie Chose and at the same time she released Trance hit “Love has come again” with Marc Mitchell in Jersey, signed to Renaissance. Since then there have been 8 solo albums and EP’s, the latest one released to band camp last month. She has worked with Kadambii Barnao and Melanie Robinson on the “SatyaKadambiiMela “ CD, David Harenstam in Sweden, Holmes Ives in USA, Marc mitchell in Jersey and is currently working with local dance producers in Perth and overseas. Last year Sophie returned to Paris to do a series of house concerts and work on new tracks with Marc Mitchell on Jersey Island. Full time mama-hood have certainly slowed down her artistic output but there are some treasures on her new EP “The Birth of Love” released last month and house concerts in Hilton have been a great outlet for the mama/artist combo..
