“Valentine’s night at the Eddi Reader concert in the Hawk’s Well Theatre: Eddi’s performances are always special. But I want to give a special thank you to Darragh Houston, the pianist serenading people in the foyer during the interval and after the show, because when I entered the foyer and sat down to say hello to him, he started playing one of my songs, encouraging me to sing it with him. Then he played another of my songs, which I was pretty sure I’d heard him playing earlier in the night as well, so I sang that too.
I had no idea you knew them off by heart, Darragh. What a lovely way to be welcomed into a room. I was touched. Thank you.
