Tonight in Furey’s, Kieran Quinn & Seamie O’Dowd weave their magic for the last time this year. This is a great time to mention and share a fantastic review of Seamie’s album, Wood & Iron, released earlier this year. Kieran appears on a couple of tracks, while Aminah and Australian didj player Si Mullumby appear on “The Emigrant’s Farewell.” Aminah loved being a part of a piece that not only features didj but was recorded partly in Australia and tells the story of the countless Irish who have moved that way across the seas, her own ancestors included.
